Eleanor lives in a house by the park, fired up my dad's car and wore too much cologne. At the top of your staircase in a sparkling red dress, flowers in my shaking hands. The disco ball glided, the lights they collided. Wasn't sure what to say so we stood there and swayed. Wandered the parking lot, forgot where we parked the car, but really I knew the whole time. Two lonely hearts in our high school Prom. Slow danced to Stairway while the boys spiked the punch. Your friend Betty tore her dress and cried in the girls room. The burnouts got high in the park. The disco ball glided, the lights they collided. Wasn't sure what to say so we stood there and swayed. Wandered the parking lot, forgot where we parked the car, but really I knew the whole time. On the gym hardwood floor, time froze in a shimmer. With your head on my shoulder, we swayed and we swayed. The disco ball glided, the lights they collided. Wasn't sure what to say so we stood there and swayed. Wandered the parking lot, forgot where we parked the car, but really I knew the whole time.
